Year 6 Class Page

In Year 6 this half term we are going to begin an
Indian Safari to help our studies in Geography.
We will begin in the booming city of Bangalore. Study the palaces, festivals and markets of Mysore before learning how to cook some traditional Indian food from Karnataka. We will then move onto the beautiful landscape in the Nilgiri hills before ending our safari in the remote village of Chembakolli.
As part of our safari the children will study maps, atlases and globes; they will begin to understand the implications of vast growth of a city. We will then compare education, housing, transport and animals in other countries.
