Pupil Parliament is our School Council where we can change the school into a better place to study and work. Each year group is represented in the parliament. This enables the children to have a say and put forward suggestions and ideas they think would make the school better.

These are some of your suggestions:
Reception:
Reception would like to change the dressing up area.
This will have to be budgeted for, but yes, hopefully this will happen.
Reception would also like a climbing frame.
Mr. Garlick says that we are going to get a climbing wall in the hall.
Year 1:
Year 1 would like to have a change from toast on team point
day.
Mr Garlick says this is possible, but we must remember that we are a healthy school.
Year 1 would also like to change the dressing up area.
Mr Garlick says this will need to be budgeted for, but yes, this is possible.
Year 2:
Year 2 would like to be part of the Gardening Club.
Yes, this is possible. Gardening Club will be starting after Easter.
Year 2 would also like more toys out at lunchtime.
Yes, this will need to be budgeted for and they will need to be
stored in plastic boxes.
Year 2 would also like a goldfish.
Yes, Year 2 may have a goldfish, which will need correct facilities. Who would look after the goldfish in the holidays?
Year 3:
Year 3 would like to order school dinners in advance.
Pupil Parliament has met Mrs Coupe (Geraldine), the school cook regarding this and hopefully pre-ordering will be implemented shortly.
Year 3 would also like a higher fence in the infant yard to
stop people coming into the yard at night.
This may be part of the new building programme.
Year 4:
Year 4 would like more clubs.
There are a lot of after school clubs at the moment. But
Mr. Garlick is always open to suggestions about new clubs.
Year 5:
Year 5 would like more equipment bringing out at lunchtimes.
More equipment will be brought out during better weather.
Year 5 would also like more laptops that work.
Mr. Garlick said that these would need to be budgeted for.
Year 6:
Year 6 would like more history.
Mr. Garlick said that a theme week would be arranged after SATS.
The girls in Year 6 would also like cushions for the benches in
the hall.
Mr. Garlick suggested the girls could organise a sewing club and make some.
Year 6 also suggested that the school needs new laptops.
Mr Garlick said that these need to budgeted for.
Staff:
Staff suggested that whoever is on yard duty at playtime
should leave assembly first.
This has been implemented.
Staff also suggested that school should use the field more
often.
When using the field there needs to be 1 – 10 ratio of staff to children.
Staff also suggested that school needs new laptops.
We now have 15 new laptops in school.
