The study of the religious festivals of Diwali (Hindu), Advent and Christmas will lead us up to the end of the half term and our Foundation Stage / Key Stage One production ‘The Wriggly Nativity’.
The children will be recognising, counting, comparing and ordering numbers; looking at simple 2D and 3D shapes; using real coins and starting some basic addition, subtraction, measuring and data handling.
They will continue to learn actions to represent phoneme/grapheme correspondences, blend letters for reading /segment for spelling and become familiar with the reading scheme.
The children need their Tricky Word Tubs every Tuesday so they can bring home new words to read and spell.
Please ensure your child wears their badge to represent the school team they belong to (Haworth, Milnshaw, Peel, Oakhill). They can earn team points for behaviour and receive stickers towards bronze, silver and gold awards for achievements.
