Feb 9 2012	February Newsletter Half-Term Holiday School finishes on Thursday 9^th February at the end of the school day (Friday 10^th February is a Teacher Training Day). We will reopen on Monday 20^th February 2012. Education Visit to Robinwood Some of our Year 6 children are visiting Robinwood Activity Centre. On Wednesday 22 February the coach will leave school at 9.40am and the children will return back to school on Friday 24 February at approximately 3.00pm. Fundraising Last term the children raised £200 for ‘Children In Need’ and £100 was donated to the Kidney Renal Unit. This half-term Year 6 children held a sponsored pyjama run in aid of ‘Action Aid’ and so far have raised £76. Next half-term we are participating in the ‘Buckets of Love Appeal’. This involves our school filing buckets with aid-relief items for families living in extreme poverty throughout Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. We are also taking part in ‘Wear Something Yellow to School’ as part of the Great Daffodil Appeal for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We will send out more information after the holidays. Decorating the Egg Competition We will be holding our annual ‘Decorating the Egg’ competition during the last week of term. More details to follow after the holiday.
